Journeyman HVAC Sheet Metal


Working Superintendent abilities in Coordinating, Planning, lay out & Installing of Commercial HVAC projects of varying sizes from $50,000.00 to $4,000,000. Remodels to Ground up projects. Hospitals, Schools, Box Stores, Tenant Improvement & Replacement. Ability to run 2-man crews & more. Ability to plan ahead and schedule. Attend job meetings and participate in scheduling with the General Contractor & subcontractors.

Daily Duties:

1. Fill out three-week planners ever week
2. Fill out Job Logs every day
3. Practice safe work standards with crew
4. Detail job, filling out cutsheets clearly, allowing 2-week turn around for shop fabrication
5. Working with the crew installing HVAC systems
6. Scheduling Deliveries & Manpower
7. Scheduling Cranes, Forklifts, Scissor lifts & Tools
8. Communicating with ACIs Project Manager
9. Coordinate with General Contractor & maintaining his schedule
10. Responsible for complete HVAC install from Start to Finish including ACI’s Subcontractors


1. High School Diploma (or GED or Equivalent)
2. Completed 4-year Apprenticeship & Valid Idaho Journeyman card; or willing to obtain one
3. Able to run jobs on their own
4. Valid Driver’s License
5. Reliable transportation
6. May require travel
7. May require overnight stay

Key Performance Indicators:

Certain key business indicators that will measure the effectiveness of the HVAC Journeyman Sheet Metal. These include the following:

1. Following Safe work practices
2. Doing all job paperwork completely and on time
3. Scheduling
4. Doing work to code and standards with small punch lists
5. Training Apprentices on job
6. Completing projects on schedule, per hours bid & Material bid
7. Finishing project with General Contractor wanting us back on next Project.
